What Actually Happened?

According to the Media......

The story as told to me....

I knew that the boys and their dad were heading to Balina on their way to Casino to visit relatives and meet their new baby cousin, a few days before the accident there had been a low weather system and this had caused some flooding I called their father Friday night to find out if they were still making the trip as I was worried, because the roads were flooded that day, he informed me they were leaving the next day (Saturday).... Something didnt feel right so the last thing I said to him was "keep them safe"he laughed and said to me "they are safely tucked in their beds" I asked him to text me when he arrived... ...Baileys father texted me a photograph of Bailey in his carseat, the last one he would ever take..... As it turns out they arrived at Balina early for the check in at the park they usually stay at so he took them to the beach as was their usual routine.... To wich the boys being boys wanted to get their feet wet and wanted to play in the knee high water, so they took of their pants and proceeded to play in their underwear...

Their father was standing nearby'ish trying to de-stress and absorb the sea air when he felt a particullarly big wave touch is feet, he also heard the boys then calling for help... While they were playing the water had gotten higher and a large wave knocked them both off their feet ... Luckly Chase managed to cling to the rock wall ( We could of lost them both) while Bailey was pulled in the rip, that we now know is an almost permanant rip along the rock wall...

The boys father helped Chase out of the water, sending him to get help fron nearby fisherman, while he attempted to swim after Bailey... now I do not know how much time had passed but from what I now know about drowning, it may have already been to late for Bailey..... Their dad found himself getting into trouble himself and he tried to climb out of the water by the rock wall and was helped from the water by one of the fisherman..... A courageous fisherman put himself into harms way and pulled Bailey out of the water ...it was later said the only way they found him was because the hoodie he was wearing had an air bubble in it.... as the water was muddy and choppy.....The fisherman attempted CPR until a rescue helicopter arrived and airlifted Bailey back to Queensland to the Gold Coast University Hospital..... Chase and his dad were taken to the nearby hospital to have their injuries looked at.....

It was about this time I recieved a phone call from Mark informing me there had been an accident... that Bailey was okay and to expect the police on my doorstep to take me to the hospital as I had no transport myself.... I waited for 3 hours, and had not heard anything so we began phoning the hospital, nobody would talk to us... just say that he was there.... and we tried to contact Balina Police but nothing was being said..... By this stage I knew.... I just knew.....

Eventually The local police arrived and informed me that despite many attempts Bailey could not be revived... Once the hospital knew that I had been informed I was told that by the time I arrived at the hospital it would be too late to see Bailey and he would be moved to the morgue... they did however wait for his father and Chase to arrive from Balina to see him before he was moved.... I believe his fathers family was also able to see him before he was moved.
